Encapsulation method developed for OLED devices mounted at laboratory

A simple method with low cost of encapsulation for organic light emitting diode (OLED) devices mounted at laboratory was proposed to obtain considerable increase the lifetime. In this study, it used a capsule formed by: glass slide as substrate, layer polyvinyl acetate glue diluted in methyl alcohol, calcium oxide secant and epoxy placed edges capsule. The performance analyzed using thin film polymer semiconductor called PEDOT:PSS, that is sensitive moisture oxygen from atmospheric air. PEDOT:PSS deposited between anode cathode electrodes commercial indium tin (ITO) on substrate. covering completely film, electrical resistance measured by elapsed days. This result revealed lowest compared other methods, showing also good process.
